    Big Data BD4BO
    “Big data in health refers to largely routinely or automatically collected datasets, which are electronically captured and stored. It is reusable in the sense of multipurpose data and comprises the fusion and connection of existing databases for the purpose of improving health and health system performance.” (European Commission, Study on Big Data in Public Health, Telemedicine and Healthcare. 2016.) Big Data for Better Outcomes is a comprehensive European research programme funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 Joint Undertaking (IMI2) aiming to develop key enablers to support healthcare system transformation through the use of big data.

    “Big Data for Better Outcomes, Policy Innovation and Healthcare System Transformation” is the Coordination and Support Action project of the BD4BO programme. the agreed minimum standardised set of outcomes that should be measured and reported in trials or other research on a specific condition.
